A few months back when my husband Dan wanted a puppy, I honestly thought he was crazy. We already had a full house with three little boys and a dog. Somehow, I agreed—and once I gave Dan the green light, Bruno was home within 24 hours.About a month later, we lost our dog Jax. He is learning to play so well with our boys. We constantly get compliments when we’re outside about how well-mannered he is. We took our dogs to I Choose you Kennels for the two week board and train. Getting two dogs at once was a little more than we bargained for when it came to training them. One walked nicely on leash and the other would pull. One would come to us and the other wouldn’t. We nervously dropped them off to Marquis, their trainer for the two weeks. All we can say is WOW! He did an amazing job with our dogs. They heel nicely, sit, lay down, place where we put them and best of all come when called! What an awesome investment we made for our dogs. One of the coolest things about this experience was all the daily videos and pictures that Marquis made and sent us. How did he have time to make videos let alone train our dogs. He’s one of a kind. It was awesome to be able to follow along and see the progress. We highly recommend!!

We cannot say enough good things about Marquis' work with our dog Cooper. When we adopted Cooper he had been a stray living with a pack of other stray dogs. He had a good nature, but his behavior was atrocious! He was extremely playful and so full of energy that we could not keep him from jumping on people and over furniture all throughout the house. He playfully bit which scared people who didn't know him, and discomforted people who did because they were constantly cleaning dog slobber off their wrists. He would jump on people with such force that he knocked people down, and he ran away whenever he was off leash or outside.After two weeks with Marquis he was a different dog! He was still happy and playful, but he knew how to interact with people and other dogs in a way that was still fun for him but not disquieting for others. Marquis tapped into his desire to please and have fun and redirected it towards obedience and practicing his commands. When we place him, ask him to sit, or lie down, he almost appears to be smiling. He loves getting a treat when he obeys his commands, but he values the praise and petting much more. Marquis totally redirected his energy into service and he has since gone through additional training to become a certified therapy dog. He visits children in hospitals, elderly people in nursing homes, and stressed out young people at schools during exams and stressful times. He walks everywhere without a leash. We take him into stores, restaurants, markets, parking lots, on long walks, etc. and he never leaves our side unless we give him permission. He is probably the most beloved pet in our neighborhood. Everyone loves to see him when we are walking and he routinely gets invited into peoples' yards and homes to play with their dogs or just visit the neighbors.Cooper is a rockstar in his world, a delight to everyone who knows him, and none of it would have been possible without Marquis' help!
